Disgruntled opposition members invited to join Umno

(Bernama) – Umno and the BN are prepared to accept leaders and members of the opposition parties who are disillusioned with their parties’ struggles, Umno information chief Ahmad Maslan said today.

“I urge those who are no longer in agreement with the opposition to leave those parties and join Umno,” said Ahmad.

He said the crisis involving several opposition party leaders was for real and not play-acting, and exposed the misunderstanding among them.

Ahmad, who is a deputy minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, was commenting on the reported political crisis in the opposition pact, particularly in Penang.
