Damage control in RPK’s son’s case

(FreeMalaysiaToday) KUALA LUMPUR: Authorities yesterday scrambled to contain the public relations damage done by the hospitalisation of prison inmate Raja Azman Petra (picture), son of celebrated blogger and political dissenter Raja Petra Kamarudin.

Police said they would investigate the case as attempted suicide and the Prisons Department has announced that it had set up a board of inquiry to determine the “actual cause of the incident.”

Datuk Hadi Ho Abdullah, a deputy director at the Bukit Aman Crime Investigation Department, said the police and prison authorities were cooperating in the investigation.

“A report lodged on Feb 8 by the Prisons Department at the Batu Arang police station, Rawang, soon after the incident, has been received,” Bernama quoted him as saying.
