No MACC raid on IGP’s home

(The Star) – The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission has denied carrying out a raid on Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan’s house as claimed by an online blog.

Deputy chief commissioner Datuk Mohd Shukri Abdull said the article allegedly written by Raja Petra Kamarudin in his news portal Malaysia Today that the IGP’s house in Petaling Jaya was raided on Sunday is false. (Read: Musa Hassan’s crisis of confidence here).

The article claimed the raid uncovered a large amount of cash and was conducted by Seremban commission officers.

“There is no truth whatsoever in it. It is absurd for the article to even make such claims when it never happened,” Shukri said.

He added that he had contacted the Negri Sembilan state MACC director and he too confirmed that no such incident ever took place.
