MCA state rep in Perlis quits
(Free Malaysia Today) – MCA state assemblyman for Titi Tinggi Yip Sun Onn has resigned from his post with immediate effect, paving the way for a possible by-election in Perlis.
According to media reports, Perlis Menteri Besar Md Isa Sabu has confirmed receiving Yip’s resignation letter.
Isa was quoted as saying that they are now “pleading” with the MCA rep to reconsider his decision and is confident that a by-election will not be called.
Reports also quoted Perlis Speaker Yazid Mat stating that Yip had noted in his resignation letter that he was disappointed with certain party leaders.
