Quit, ‘immoral’ friend: Perkasa boss tells MCA boss


(FMT) KUALA LUMPUR: Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali has described MCA president Dr Chua Soi Lek as a friend, despite their bitter verbal tussle suggesting otherwise.

In an exclusive interview with FMT yesterday, the controversial politician offered some friendly advice to Chua, asking the latter to resign as MCA president.

He said Chua, who became MCA president on March 28, should step aside and allow his deputy Liow Tiong Lai to take over the leadership reins.

“Chua is a friend, so I hope he does not hold this against me. But I believe that he shouldn’t have run for MCA president.

“If he really wants to save MCA, then he should quit and let Liow take over,” said the independent Pasir Mas MP.
