You pledge, I run, for the children in need

I would like to give the run some fun and meaning by turning it into a charity run, and I am looking for your support. You can make your pledge by mileage, upon completion of the whole 84km course, or any other innovative challenges you can think of.

Hello, my friends.
You may not know me as a runner, but, I am one. 🙂

After running numerous full marathons (42km) over the years since 1991, I will be attempting something different next Saturday (May 29) – an ultra-marathon at a distance of 84km. This will most probably be a once-in-a-lifetime kind of (crazy) attempt for me. The event is the Singapore’s Sundown Marathon 2010.
[And no, it won’t be another ‘political run‘ as I did in Jan 2008. Those were the days of hopelessness.]
I would like to give the run some fun and meaning by turning it into a charity run, and I am looking for your support. You can make your pledge by mileage, upon completion of the whole 84km course, or any other innovative challenges you can think of. Donation monies collected after the run will be donated to a rumah anak yatim run by volunteers in Klang Valley (to be determined – suggestions welcome). Your generous pledges will certainly go a long way to keep me pushing the envelope.

TERIMA KASIH BANYAK-BANYAK!

P/S If you prefer, I have set up another campaign for my colleagues in Singapore for SGD donations to a children’s charity called World Vision (Singapore). Feel free to pledge there too.
