They are paid RM2mil claims Wan Azizah
(Bernama) – PKR president Datin Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail claimed that party leaders who left the party were offered RM2 million as well as contracts.
She said the incident served as a lesson for the party in choosing its leaders and said that it also helped rid the party of negative elements.
To this end, the party would tighten the selection of candidates as well as carrying out leadership training, she said when opening the PKR national congress here Saturday.
She also reminded Selangor state government that the victory in the state in the 2008 general election was a conditional victory and not something that is permanent.
“The victory is not a given. The state government should continue to uphold the people’s aspirations,” said Wan Azizah who also called on the Selangor government to come up with a good governance index to ensure efficiency.
