Anwar seeks medical reports, case adjourned
(Free Malaysia Today) – Anwar Ibrahim’s sodomy trial was postponed to July 14 following an application by his lawyers to obtain all medical records of his accuser Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
Anwar is seeking to gain hold of medical reports, clinical notes, specimens and others prepared by Hospital Kuala Lumpur (HKL) surgical specialists Dr Mohd Razali Ibrahim, Dr Khairul Nizam Hassan and Dr Siew Sheue Feng. He also wants Mohd Saiful’s medical history at HKL.
These three specialists have conducted medical tests on Mohd Saiful on the alleged sodomy.
Anwar’s application was filed this morning and the matter will be heard before trial judge Mohamad Zabidin Mohd Diah on June 18.
Anwar in his supporting affidavit said that Mohd Razali’s evidence in court yesterday contradicted the earlier findings in a report dated July 13, 2008.
