State Development Officer Nik Ali Mat Yunus who is a Federal appointed civil servant had an outburst yesterday after a meeting with UMNO leaders in Penang. Today, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng responded to Nik Ali’s rude remarks including calling CM Lim ‘Biadap” as quoted by several media.

CM Lim said the state appreciates all civil servants and rewards them when they perform well, quoting the recent PBS awards by the Governor for 13 Unsung Heroes of MPPP who are drain cleaners. Lim also lauded Penang CPO DCP Dato’ Wira Ayub for reducing the crime index by 17.3% in the first half of 2010.

However, the state must voice out against incompetent civil servants when they failed to perform and wasted the state funds. Lim quipped that Nik Ali is more talented in pontification than performance and more political than competent. He said the image of Little Napolean is finally seen.
