Are You UMNO in Disguise?

The culture which was brought from Umno to PKR since 1998, has never been eliminated or seriously addressed.

Where should we begin? The PKR election has been kicked off since last week and even before the election, we can already smell the smear campaign is going to happen around us and to those who have intention to move on further in party rank. It is not hard to predict though, ever since the announcement from Datuk Zaid Ibrahim to contest for Deputy President in the coming party election, he has once again grabbed the attention and become limelight especially via coverage from online media after the last Hulu Selangor election. Of course must give credit where credit is due, specially to those who serve different camp and those who always cautiously treat Zaid (as outsiders of the party), leaked the story or their uneasy feeling to outside the party.

Well, I think Zaid has been man enough so far, from the day he announced he was going to contest for no.2 post, and the way he takes on critics, accusations, and out of sudden we all found a blog was titled openly as antizaid.wordpress read here go and read it, and I bet you will feel like you have seen it somewhere before, Yes, doesn’t it look so similar to ProUmno blogs, the way they write and content inside, basically it is just merely accusations and to blackmail somebody and this blogger was send to tarnish Zaid’s reputation, as what we can see.

Remember the Hulu Selangor election? Photo of Zaid was doctored and posted in ProUmno Blogs, but what can you expect when Umno is concerned, if they uphold morality, peoples will not turn away from BN and caused a 308 tsunami. OK, What Zaid faced in HS and now are basically same tactics, but this time the opponent are from within. Saying he is an Umno trojan horse is just a lame excuses, same to another excuses which he has not stayed long enough in the party to bid for high rank, lame lame lame. IF that is a case, then just call off the election, and pick the whole leadership in party based on years they stay in the party. The longest serving person deserves the highest rank in party. Isn’t that sound better?

I still remember when Zaid joined PKR in 2009, he had a mission and ambition, to get DAP, PKR, PAS and party in Sabah & Sarawak work together towards Putrajaya. But the culture which was brought from Umno to PKR since 1998, has never been eliminated or seriously addressed since then, what restraint Pakatan Rakyat in the GE 13 from taking Putrajaya will be the old culture plus their inter, intra party conflict.

For PKR, their members itself must have determination seek for the changes, and to get rid of old Umno cultures in the party, and prove to Rakyat they are capable to govern this country and serve the Rakyat. Although Zaid was from Umno, but certainly I don’t see any Umno in him. That’s why I believe Zaid is the right man for the job, but what is saddened to see today he has not gained much support from his party for the cause he fights for, instead, what he’s got today was attacked and suspect from his colleagues in the party.
