What would you do next, if you were Zaid
By waiphil(feel)
First of all, I would like to congratulate Zaid for his courage and determination to quit halfway in the deputy presidential race. Not only that, he also quit all his PKR post. Ever since before the election begin, apparently he has been the subject of various malicious attack and accusation from no others but his own colleague. So it’s not so wise for him if he still want to keep himself in the race when you know the rules of the game are all against you.
So, lately many people have start speculating on his future, especially with his latest statement that I think Anwar may not take it kindly.
Some are suggesting he should join DAP, which I think that’s a bad choice not because of DAP is not good but if he wants to join DAP, he should have joined when he quit Umno last time. It will appear like DAP is a second choice when PKR is not in his favor, and that certainly will not help to strengthen relationship between Pakatan Rakyat.
As for joining PAS, I will rule that out for the time being.
Lead the third force, not bad though but again many people still very confuse how is that supposed to be? I think third force should be clearly explained first especially to Pakatan Rakyat since many of their supporters do not seem to favor in that idea. For me, what I want to see from third force is to scout and identify good people and send them to contest in election, under Pakatan Rakyat banner doesn’t matter that they are not a member in any Pakatan party. It should not be a three corner fight because that will only benefit Barisan Nasional. If Zaid decides to lead the third force, I believe the main challenges he will be facing are not the candidate choice, but which seat that either DAP, PAS or PKR willing to let go for ‘others’ to contest.
