Property ownership gap could cause political instability: PM
By The Star
KUALA LUMPUR: The imbalance in propery ownership, which currently favours non-bumiputras, could in the long term cause political instability in the country.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the gap in property ownership, especially in Greater Kuala Lumpur, needed to be reduced.
The initiative to reduce the gap was also among the objectives of the New Economic Model (NEM), which emphasised inclusiveness, he said when launching the Amanah Hartanah Bumiputra here Monday.
