Mohd Khusrin new Selangor state secretary
(Bernama) — Selangor Islamic Religious Department (Jais) Director Datuk Mohd Khusrin Munawi has been appointed the new Selangor state secretary effective Jan 1 next year.
Mohd Khusrin, 54, takes over from Datuk Ramli Mahmud, 56, who completes his service on Dec 31, Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan said in a statement today.
The post of Jais director, vacated by Mohd Khusrin, will be filled by Sabak Bernam District Officer Marzuki Hussin, 56, also on Jan 1.
Mohd Khusrin, who holds a Bachelor of Economics in Business Management from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, has been a president of the district councils of Kajang and Kuala Langat.
Ramli, who is a former mayor of Shah Alam and a former president of the Ampang Jaya Municipal Council, has been in the civil service for 31 years.
Mohd Sidek said the appointments of Mohd Khusrin and Marzuki had received the consent of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.
