PKR’s Badrul declines party sec-gen post

(The Star) – PKR leader Badrul Hisham Shaharin said he has declined the PKR’s deputy secretary-general post, for now, pending the outcome of out investigations into alleged irregularities during recent party polls.

Badrul, who is popularly known as Chegubard, thanked the party president president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail for her trust in him.

“I will make a decision after discussions and getting feedback from my friends and family members after the investigations,” he told a press conference a house in Taman Sri Rambai Monday morning.

However, he said he said he thought hard and long before declining the offer and also apologised to Dr Wan Azizah for his action.

“My decision is based on the principle of fairness in the party’s election,” he added.

He urged the party to complete its investigations within the two weeks notice period.

“I love the party and the country and I want to make sure Keadilan is perfect before it take over Putrajaya,” said Badrul.
