Khairy Willing to Take Anwar On

(Malaysian Digest) – Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin said he is willing to offer himself to confront Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in a debate on the country’s economy.

He made the statement on Twitter today in response to Anwar’s challenge on Najib to a debate to resolve the differences of economical ideas between Pakatan Rakyat and Barisan Nasional

“Anwar is not even the same level as Najib Razak. Going against the (Umno) Youth chief should be enough. Let’s go,” he said.

Anwar earlier held a press conference today at PKR headquarters in response to Najib’s criticism of Pakatan’s 100-day program. Previous to this, Najib had told the staff of the Prime Minister’s Department at a monthly gathering that Pakatan’s reform plan would bankrupt the country, deeming it a populist and irresponsible approach to garner the rakyat’s support.
