Election Campaign: PACA Training
To be free, we have to change the situation. Leaving it to the political parties is not enough, simply because they don’t have sufficient strength to take on UMNO/BN. We have to step in.

Dear Friends,
One of our programme is to train civil society on how to run election campaigns. As we well know, in politics, everything begins and end with elections. The problems in Malaysia stem from having one party having too much power for too long.
To be free, we have to change the situation. Leaving it to the political parties is not enough, simply because they don’t have sufficient strength to take on UMNO/BN. We have to step in.
Raja Petra and Haris Ibrahim has set up the Malaysian Civil Liberty Movement (MCLM). It is a very laudable initiative. Their volunteers from civil society need training on becoming Polling Agent, Counting Agent (PACA). I have agreed to help them but I cannot do it alone as there are too many people to train. As such, I am inviting you to join me to become trainers.
I intend to put the training materials on-line for the public to access. Still they will need someone to guide them along. That’s where you come in.
