Anwar still wants debate with PM

(Bernama) – Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is adamant about having a debate with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Pakatan Rakyat’s 100-Day Plan.

An aide said Anwar maintained his stand on inviting the Prime Minister to debate on the plan, which the Opposition proposes to carry out in the event it takes over federal rule from the Barisan Nasional.

The aide said Anwar’s statement was: “I emphasise I am not budging from my previous statement as well as the intention contained in the official letter of my desire to invite the Prime Minister to an open debate in the interest of the whole Malaysian population.”
