Malay contractors appeal for government assistance

(Bernama) – The Malay Contractors Association of Malaysia (PKMM) today appealed to the federal government to help the estimated 32,000 Class F contractors nationwide who claim to have been facing a shortage of projects over the past three years.

PKMM deputy president Datuk Muhamad Fadzill Hassan said many of the Class F contractors might have to wind up their business due to their failure in securing projects.

Many of them depended totally on government projects, he told reporters after the 35th annual general meeting of PKMM here.
