Anwar: KPI audit report doesn’t exist
The PKR de facto leader denies the existence of a KPI audit report which allegedly describes seven party MPs as non-performers.
(Free Malaysia Today) – PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim has denied the existence of an internal Key Performance Index (KPI) audit report, appearing to contradict the statements of other party leaders.
“No, there is no such thing,” the Opposition Leader said when quizzed during a press conference at the party headquarters here this evening.
On Monday, FMT reported that seven PKR MPs, including deputy president Azmin Ali, had allegedly failed the KPI test.
The next day, PKR denied this, saying that the seven were not audited.
Supreme council member Nik Mahmood Nik Hassan, who was tasked with doing the audit, had claimed that it was a confidential report for the eyes of select party leaders.
He said that the audit was done to secure public opinion on how to improve the party’s performance in certain constituencies.
The report was said to have been submitted to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
‘No such thing’
PKR communications director Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad later said that the report did not include the seven MPs as it only targeted possible defector seats.
PKR national women exco member Fellicia Ling, in a FMT report today, slammed those who claimed to be in the dark about the KPI test because it was well-documented.
She also alleged that the KPI test results would never be revealed in order to protect the party’s elite.
When asked to comment on Ling’s remarks, Anwar reiterated that there was no audit report.
“No there is no such thing,” he said. “As I already said, that report is non-existent.”
PKR’s Batu MP Tian Chua, who was also present, said that an audit was never done on the seven MPs.
