‘Can’t you wait another day?’ – Mahfuz to EC
(Harakah Daily) – KUALA LUMPUR, Mar 24: PAS vice president Mahfuz Omar (pic) has blasted the Election Commission for fixing nomination day for the Sarawak state election on April 6, when parliamentary proceedings are underway.
According to Mahfuz, the current parliament sitting will end on April 7, forcing current members of parliament from Sarawak who are contesting in state seats to skip parliamentary session. “EC should respect the democractic process. Parliament is still meeting. Many political leaders are involved in the Sarawak state election. Can’t it wait for another day?”
