Ezam calls for Anwar’s passport to be impounded

(Bernama) – Former Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Youth chief Senator Ezam Mohd Nor today urged the authorities to impound Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s passport to prevent the Opposition leader from continuing to tarnish Malaysia’s image abroad.

“I urge the authorities to do this quickly. He (Anwar) will continue with his efforts to destroy the country politically and economically.

“It is also to prevent Anwar from continuing to hawk the sodomy case he is facing abroad in trying to smear Malaysia’s image,” he said on the short-messaging system to Bernama here today.

Ezam said as an individual who had long known the member of Parliament for Permatang Pauh, he did not place any trust in his former leader even if he (Anwar) swore on his (Anwar’s) integrity using the Quran.
