Postal voting to be amended
The postal voting system is to be amended, Election Commission chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof said Friday.
He said that amendments to Election Regulations would be tabled in Parliament in June and were expected to be enforced before the 13th general election.
He said the procedure would be simplified, with voters gathered in a hall to cast their ballot papers.
They would not need to fill forms and send them to the commission, he told Bernama.
Abdul Aziz said the new procedure would however not apply to students and those serving overseas and members of the armed forces.
