KUALA LUMPUR: Local experts have confirmed that the sex video allegedly featuring an Opposition leader is not doctored, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said Friday.

He said the experts had handed over the full report on the video to the police but refused to elaborate further.

“The most important thing is that we have received the report and we know it is genuine,” he told a press conference here Friday.

Ismail, however, refused to reveal the identity of the person featured in video.

He said police were expected to hand over the investigation papers to the Attorney-General soon for further action.

The police recorded statements from all parties involved in the screening of the sex video to the media, he added.

“We called in everyone to have their statements recorded, including media representatives who watched the sex video,” he said.

More than 20 newsmen were called to Carcosa Seri Negara here on March 21 to view the controversial video that has intrigued the nation.

The 22-minute video was revealed by former Malacca chief minister Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Perkasa treasurer-general Datuk Shuib Lazim, who called themselves “Datuk T”.

Three persons were arrested to facilitate police in their investigations but Ismail refused to reveal their names.
