PKR to sack 12 for working against the party
(Bernama) – KUCHING: PKR will be sacking 12 members for working against the party in the run up to the April 16 Sarawak state election, according to disciplinary committee chairman Dr Tan Kee Kwong.
The committee will be making its recommendation to sack the 12 to party leadership, he said.
He alleged that nine of them were standing as independent candidates while the other three were found to be helping opponents.
The nine members standing as independents, he said, were Soo Lina (Batu Lintang) (photo), Cobbold anak Lusai (Balai Ringin), Kiprawi Suhaili (Belawai), George anak Lagong (Pelagus), Michael Jok (Belaga), Kenneth Adan Silek (Belaga), Liam anak Rengga (Kemena), Michael Ding Tuah (Marudi) and Jok Ding (Telang Usan).
The three alleged to be working against the party were Paul Kadang anak Dinggat, Hasrul Muhaimin Hasbi, and PKR’s former communications director Jonson Chong, Tan said in a statement here today.
He said that he would be proposing for their expulsion to take immediate effect.
