Umno management committee to discuss election dry run

(Bernama) – The proposed election dry run for the 13th general election will be the main topic of discussion at tomorrow’s Umno Management Committee meeting, the party’s secretary-general, Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Mansor said.

He said the meeting, to be held in Putrajaya, would be chaired by deputy president, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.

“We will bring up the matters that are discussed at tomorrow’s meeting to the Umno Supreme Council meeting on May 23 to decide on the date for the election dry run at all divisions nationwide,” he told reporters after flagging off the Federal Territory Puteri Umno’s “Ziarah Kasih” convoy today.

Based from feedbacks received, all Umno divisions were waiting for the date to hold the election dry run.

Tengku Adnan said Umno was now focusing on efforts to register its members as voters.

There were about 400,000 Umno members who were eligile to vote, but had yet to register as voters.
