PAS will never cooperate with Umno, says Mat Sabu

(Bernama) – PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu said the party would never cooperate with Umno even in the name of Malay unity, saying that it was tired of Umno’s antics.

“We do not want a repeat of the 1969 incident when, after they win on the Barisan Nasional ticket, we are kicked out (of the coalition) before the following general election.”

“Umno leaders are now trying to befriend PAS … I will not respond to the extended hand,” he said in a talk at the Kedah PAS complex here last night.
