S’gor survey: Little faith in post-Anwar PKR
(Malaysiakini) – Only one in every four Selangor residents have faith in a PKR without its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim, according to a survey conducted by Universiti Malaya (UM).
Out of 795 respondents covering all races and ages, only 25 percent said that PKR can continue to maintain its strength without Anwar as leader.
Thirty three percent of respondents held the opposite view while 42 percent were unsure.
The survey was conducted in Selangor from Dec 3 to 11 and covered the parliamentary constituencies of Puchong, Sepang, Sabak Bernam, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Selangor, Selayang, Gombak, Ampang, Hulu Langat, Pandan, Subang and Shah Alam.
Sixty percent of the respondents were Malay with Chinese and Indian making up 25 and 12 percent respectively.
