Nik Aziz: PAS not worried about Hasan’s road show

(Bernama) – PAS is not worried over the nationwide road show by former Selangor PAS commissioner Datuk Dr Hasan Ali, said the party’s spiritual leader Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat.

He said Hasan was no longer a member of PAS and could do anything as long as it was not under the party’s name.

“He is free to do anything with his attitude but not in the name PAS as he is no longer a party member,” Nik Aziz told reporters after receiving a courtesy visit from five members of parliament from China at his office in Kota Darulnaim here Wednesday.

Nik Abdul Aziz, who is also the Kelantan Mentri Besar, was asked about Hasan’s proposal to hold a road show throughout the country to explain his position in politics after being sacked by PAS on Jan 8.

Meanwhile, Nik Abdul Aziz also welcomed the appointment of Sijangkang assemblyman Dr Ahmad Yunus Hairi as a Selangor executive council member to replace Hasan.

Before being dropped, Hasan was the chairman of the state Committee for Islamic Affairs, Malay Customs, Infrastructure and Public Utilities.
