Remember what Anwar did to PBS: Mositun

(Daily Express) – The people have been urged not to be hoodwinked by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) de facto leader, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s “sweet” promises for the coming general election.

Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Information Chief, Datuk Johnny Mositun, reminded the people that Anwar together with several other Federal leaders were responsible for the downfall of the PBS government in 1994.

“He was the chief strategist at that time so I hope the people will not be easily influenced by his sweet promises whenever he comes to Sabah,” he said when met after attending the Chinese New Year open house hosted by Inanam Assemblyman, Datuk Johnny Goh, here, Saturday.

Mositun, who is also State Assembly Deputy Speaker, said there were so many promises made by the Pakatan Rakyat, including the Deputy Prime Minister post, to the people of Sabah.

“All these are nothing but to give an empty hope for the people and we know how Anwar is willing to do anything as proven after the 1994 general election,” he said.

He claimed that Anwar had also tried to apply a similar strategy when he told the people that the Government of Malaysia will be changed on Sept 16, 2008.

However, he said nothing materialised after Sept 16, 2008.

Towards this end, he said the Barisan Nasional (BN) Government under Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and Datuk Seri Musa Aman in Sabah had proven its capability in bringing development to the country, State and people.

“I believe the people can assess for themselves the proven track record of the BN Government and reject the opposition once and for all in the 13th General Election,” he said.
