Special meeting fails to make headway in solving Kedah PAS crisis

(The Star) – A special meeting convened by PAS here Thursday night, which lasted more than three hours, failed to make headway in resolving the crisis in the PAS-led Kedah government.

The meeting at the PAS headquarters in Jalan Raja Laut, which started at 9pm, was chaired by PAS deputy president Mohamad Sabu. Vice-president Salahuddin Ayub and party secretary-general Datuk Mustafa Ali also attended the meeting.

The parties in the conflict, Kedah Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Azizan Abdul Razak, and Datuk Phahrolrazi Zawawi and Datuk Dr Ismail Salleh were not seen at the meeting.

Mat Sabu, when approached by reporters after the meeting ended at 12.30am (Friday), said a solution was not reached to end the crisis.

“We hope a solution can be found through further meetings,” he said.
