Five(5) years on today the cruel UMNO 1 Malay-sia government has refused to accord equality, equal opportunities and equal upward mobility opportunities in particular to the Indian poor, refusing to end all state sponsored and private sector racism and are excluding and segregating the Indian poor from the national mainstream development of Malaysia.

The HINDRAF 18 point demands dated 12/8/2007 led to the historic 100,000 Indian poor uprising via the 25th November 2007 HINDRAF Rally. But five(5) years on today the cruel UMNO 1 Malay-sia government has refused to accord equality, equal opportunities and equal upward mobility opportunities in particular to the Indian poor, refusing to end all state sponsored and private sector racism and are excluding and segregating the Indian poor from the national mainstream development of Malaysia. If at all only the 1% ‘wayang kulit’ delivery seems to be the UMNO racist agenda. To this effect part of the 10,000 signatures collected protesting these atrocities and demanding delivery of the HINDRAF 18 point demands will be delivered by HINDRAF De facto leader P.Uthayakumar & YB.M.Manoharan to UMNO Prime Minister Najib Razak as follows:-

HINDRAF 18 Point Demands.

We hereby once again demand amongst others equality as follows:-

1. Sons of soil status for all Malaysian born

2. Minimum wage of RM 1,500.00 per month for all Malaysians.

3. Non race based grant of permits, licences, business loans, business opportunities, contracts, projects and employment opportunities.

4. All 523 Tamil schools forthwith be granted at least 10 acre land titles each and be made fully government aided schools.

5. To give effect to freedom of religion and grant land titles to all Hindu temples, cemeteries.

6. Non race based entry into fully residential MRSM etc Elite Schools and Colleges, Giat Mara etc Skills Training Institutes, UITM and Public Universities, government and GLC study loans and scholarships.

7. Non race based affirmative action policies.

8. De gerrymander and recreate 15 and 38 at least 70% Indian majority Parliamentary and State Assembly seats respectively.

9. Non racist Judiciary, Attorney General’s Chambers, Police Enforcement Agencies and the Civil Service.

10. A non racist public affordable housing scheme as in Singapore. (not low cost flats).

11. Passing of the Anti Racial Discrimination Act, Equal Opportunities Act, Freedom of Religion Act and Print and: Non Racist Electronic Media Act.

12. Stop the race and religious motivated indiscriminate “import” of foreign workers.

13. Non racist recruitment policies into the Civil service.

14. Non racist Common Entrance exams for all Public Universities Lawyers, Doctors, Dentistry, Pharmacists, Accountants, Architects etc.

15. Non race based self employment opportunities in the estimated 1.5 Million 10 acre land ownership schemes in Felda, Felcra, Risda, Mardi, FAMA Agropolition Kejora, Kedara, Kesedar etc.

16. Non racist denial of Birth Certificates, Identity Cards and Citizenship to in particular the estimated 450,000 stateless up to sixth generation Malaysian born Indian poor.

17. Non Race based “eradication of poverty irrespective of race” state policies.

18. Non racist state sponsored Entrepreneurial Development and Small and Medium Scale Entrepreneur (SME) development opportunities and the corresponding business loans.

and the aforesaid Hindraf 18 point demands dated 12/8/2007 a copy of which is (enclosed herewith).

In effect we hereby call upon the UMNO led Government of Malaysia to forthwith deliver on the aforesaid Hindraf 18 point demands and to stop the Prime Minister’s Nambikei and 1 Malay-sia political rhetoric.

Urimai not Nambikei.
