Six BN reps walk out of S’gor state assembly over SMS

(The Star) – Six Barisan Nasional assemblymen walked out of the Selangor state assembly sitting on Tuesday, claiming Speaker Datuk Teng Chang Khim had sent out text messages to Exco members, advising them to wind up their speeches by touching on Pakatan Rakyat’s success in governing the state.

The assemblymen were Datuk Mohd Isa Abu Kassim (Batang Kali), Datuk Mohd Shamsudin Lias (Sg Burong), Wong Koon Mun (Kuala Kubu Bharu), Abdul Shukur Idrus (Kuang), Badrul Hisham Abdullah (Port Klang), and Datuk Abdul Rahman Palil (Sementa).

“A Speaker should be fair and not side anyone but here you have him sending messages to Excos advising them to speak on what the Selangor government has done,” Abdul Shukur told reporters.
