(The Star) – A filmmaker stole the limelight during a press conference by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim at the PKR headquarters, accusing the Opposition Leader of hijacking the Bersih 3.0 rally.

Benji Lim loudly accused Anwar and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali of endangering the lives of protesters as well as jeopardising the cause of the demonstration which was to call for electoral reforms.

“There was no leadership and no crowd control. It was completely hijacked by the Opposition,” he exclaimed.

An altercation also nearly broke out after the function when several party workers and journalists spoke to Lim, which ended with him shouting: “I’m a citizen, too!”

He had to be restrained by several people.

There was high drama and some angry finger-pointing earlier too as Anwar and other top PKR leaders were fielding reporters’ questions on how the security barriers near Dataran Merdeka were breached.

The politician lost his cool when the newsmen repeatedly pressed him about allegations that he had instigated the protesters.

“Where are you from? Media Umno?” he repeatedly asked. “These are all lackeys in the media, selling their souls.”
