A troubled Bersih 3.0 – It was police strategy and oppression
It was no coincidence that the melee broke out after such stealthy police reinforements and Ambiga’s pronouncement before 3pm that Bersih 3.0 was a success and her advice to the participants to disperse thereafter (1 hour before time!).

It is more than the UMNO-led government wanting to protect a patch of grass at the expense of public properties and lives of their countrymen. In fact there is reason to believe that this incorrigible government through the brutal police actions had purposely caused the melee towards the last hour of the assembly (3.00pm-4pm) to frighten the people or to give themselves the excuse to prevent a bigger Bersih 4.0 from happenning.
Otherwise, why reinforce the police units with three to four truckloads of FRU/police units between 1.30pm to 2.15pm through Jalan Tun Perak to Dataran Merdeka (my witness account) when the peoples’ assembly was still in carnival mood?
It was no coincidence that the melee broke out after such stealthy police reinforements and Ambiga’s pronouncement before 3pm that Bersih 3.0 was a success and her advice to the participants to disperse thereafter (1 hour before time!).
The situation only pointed out to an evil and destructive premeditated action on the part authorities. And from other eyewitnesses account, the ‘first-level’ razor blade barricades were rolled back by the police before some protesters actually had the opportunity to remove the remaining iron-barricades easily (video acount) and walk, and later run, towards Dataran Merdeka resulting in the silmultaneous forceful use of tear gas and water-cannon power on the people there and elsewhere.
Elsewhere? Yes, elsewhere too! If this is not a clear police strategy and trap to create trouble to disrupt or overturn the noble objectives of Bersih 3.0, what else could it be? The carnival-like assembly since the night before (for 15-18 hrs or more), the timing of police reinforcement (1.30pm-2.15pm) and subsequent police rolling-up of the razor blade barricades are too much of a coincidence to deflect the people from believing it was the initially-peaceful protestors who became end-trouble-causers.
For Malaysia Boleh, the perception is that this is a case of the trouble-making police (backed by selfish and arrogant politicians) oppressing the wishes of the peaceful Rakyat in a most dastardly and obnoxious manner. It is obvious the rough-shod actions now being taken by the police to arrest some protestors are nothing more than their determination to impose their wayward authority and further intimidate oppressed Malaysians in the process.
But the Rakyat must never give in to such tyrannical oppression! Whatever happens, Malaysians must rise up again with a bigger Berish 4.0 to ensure that a clean and fair electoral system is in place before the next GE. All told, the situation was clear; no uncalled-for police use of tear gas and water cannons, no melee, no damage to properties and no hurt.
Malaysian police are plainly foot-soldiers of crazy UMNO politicians and, with their high-handed actions, were at fault in this unfortunate incident!
