Date: 14 May 2012 (Monday)
Time: 8pm – 12am
Venue: Dataran Merdeka (Under the big tree beside the Sultan Abdul Samad building)

Today, 14 May 2012, marks one month since Occupy Dataran started the peaceful encampment on 14 April 2012. Exactly 1 month ago, Occupy Dataran camped out at Dataran Merdeka to reclaim public spaces and to call for real democracy now.
With free and open street activities like Sidang Rakyat KL, Universiti Rakyat, Occupy Wayang, Pasar Percuma and Speakers’ Corner, we have begun re-imagining a new political culture beyond race, ideology, beliefs, social status, and gender. We have begun exploring ways on how ordinary citizens can increase their participation in decision-making, politics and democracy beyond elections. We have begun re-appropriating Dataran Merdeka as an open and democratic space for all.
Tonight, 8pm, at the Occupy Dataran camp at Dataran Merdeka, we invite all occupiers, supporters, friends and the media to come celebrate with us in a CAKE POTLUCK PARTY, followed by live music by local artists, to celebrate this feat with us!
We would never have lasting this long without your support, so thank you!
Today is DAY 31 and YES, WE CAMP!
