(Bernama) – The Kuala Lumpur Petty Traders Action Council (KLPTAC) plans to collect one million signatures to show they are against street protests that create chaos. Its chairman Datuk Jamal Md Yunos (pic) said the one million signatures collected from traders and the public will be submitted to Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu’adzam Shah.

“We have collected 110,000 signatures over the last five days and hope to collect one million signatures before fasting month (July),” he told reporters here today.

Jamal said KLPTAC also plans to hold a peaceful rally at Merdeka Stadium or National Stadium, Bukit Jalil on June 23.

“We have submitted the application. The purpose of the rally is to demand compensation for losses incurred following street protests,” he added.
