PAS urged to pull out of Pakatan

(Bernama) — Former state PAS secretary, Mohamed Nordin Mohd Nor today urged the party’s top leadership to pull the party out of the opposition coalition.

He said the opposition coalition’s dream was to conquer Putrajaya causing PAS to move further away from its original objective while attempting to meet the needs of its allies.

He said the top leadership appeared to be not taking the situation seriously when they kept quiet and allegedly allowed DAP to dispute Islam and its teachings.

“This is consuming the party inside, it does not bode well. We hope the matter will not happen. We hope Karpal Singh and DAP will stop uttering views which hurt the feelings of Muslims,” he told a special media conference to voice his support for former deputy PAS president Nasharudin Mat Isa, here today.

Yesterday, Nasharuddin in a statement in a blog had urged PAS to put the unity of the Ummah (Muslim community) as the base of its struggle irrespective of its political leanings.
