Khalid leaves decision to remove him as MB to party, supporters
(TMI) – Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim said today that he will leave the decision to remove him as Selangor Menteri Besar to the people and party members.
The idea was recently proposed by PKR deputy president Mohamed Azmin Ali and his supporters.
Khalid said the issue between him and Azmin was a political matter and declined to elaborate further.
“It’s a political issue. Let the people and the party members decide on it,” he told reporters after attending a dialogue with the people in Kuala Selangor.
The Malaysian Insider reported that Khalid had nearly lost his job three nights ago, but PKR de facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim rejected the proposal from Azmin and his supporters.
Azmin was believed to be angry over his removal from the board of the Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS).
The proposal, it was reported, was hotly debated at the central leadership council meeting Wednesday night.
