Stop your spat, Anwar tells MB, Azmin
Khalid and Azmin advised that ongoing spat shouldn’t continue and to focus on the development of Selangor
(FMT) – PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim said that he had advised both Selangor Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim and PKR deputy president Azmin Ali to stop their infighting.
“People are worried that I did not do anything to stop the infighting between those two.
“This is not true, I have advised both parties that the spat shouldn’t continue,” Anwar said at a press conference held after the ‘Asian Renaissance Part 2′ forum here today.
Anwar was referring to the recent fiasco surrounding both the PKR heavyweights and PKNS Holdings Sdn Bhd (PHSB).
Last week, 22 PKNS contract staff were terminated with immediate effect.
Defending the move, Khalid who is also the PKNS chairman explained that some staff had been employed without being interviewed and task duplication of staff as among the reasons for the termination.
In the same press conference held on Feb 6, Khalid did not say that Azmin was behind the operation but he said that the matter will be investigated.
However, according to Anwar, Khalid’s statement had been manipulated by the media.
It was learnt that Azmin is furious with Khalid over the media reports.
