Rafizi ‘shooting’ his own party
In accusing Zaid of cronyism, Rafizi is indeed spilling the beans that PKR is not that transparent too, as always perceived by the rakyat
(FMT) – PKR Strategy Director Rafizi Ramli’s revelation that Zaid Ibrahim used his position in the party back in 2010 to influence Selangor state government in awarding contracts only proves that PKR itself is not clean, says Pulai MP Nur Jazlan Mohamed.
Jazlan likens Rafizi’s expose as ‘shooting himself in the foot’ as it doesn’t only taint Zaid’s image, but also his own party.
“His revelation shows that rakyat do not have a transparent choice. All these while they are accusing the government is corrupted and only enriching cronies, but a PKR member today confessed that they did the same thing while in power.
“That is why they are trying so hard to maintain Selangor under their administration…to award contracts to their own cronies,” Jazlan told FMT when contacted today.
Rafizi, in a press conference today said that Zaid used his position, while he was still a PKR member, to influence the state government’s decisions over several projects managed by quarters affiliated with him.
The Pandan MP revealed that Zaid approached him personally in 2010 to interfere in two projects, one related to 26 acres of land, and another involving two plots of premium land in Petaling Jaya.
