Karpal to be sentenced for sedition tomorrow

Veteran lawyer Karpal Singh’s sentencing for sedition has been fixed for tomorrow morning at the Kuala Lumpur High Court.

One of his lawyers, Ramkarpal Singh, said the court had refused their application to be heard in the afternoon.

“We had wanted the matter to be heard in the afternoon but for no apparent reason, it was denied,” he said.

He said opposition MPs had wanted to attend the court proceeding after attending the Kajang by-election nomination tomorrow morning.
