(FMT) – PKR candidate for the Kajang state seat Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and her campaign workers were not allowed to enter a hypermarket today for a meet-the-people session.

A PKR campaigner from Sabah, who did not want to be identified, said they were even not allowed to distribute election pamphlets.

Azizah, who was not allowed to enter the Prima Saujana Giant at about 3.45pm today, later visited other business outlets nearby.

Earlier, she visited the Tesco in Saujana Impian to meet the people.

Campaigners distributed four-page leaflets entitled “Cerita Kak Wan” (Kak Wan’s Story) and the manisfesto printed on postcards.

During her visit a boutique shop, the owner presented a dress for Azizah’s eldest daughter, Nurul Izzah Anwar, who is also Lembah Pantai MP.

Azizah was also shown booklets entitled Kajang ABU (Anything But Umno) but the contents was anti-Anwar and supported MCA candidate Chew Mei Fun.

The state seat comprises 39,728 registered voters. In the last general election in May 2013, the seat saw a voter turnout of 87.9% with 541 spoilt votes.
