A PKR division candidate made a damning claim today saying that Selangor Menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim is using money to win votes

(Bernama) – The candidate for Kuala Selangor Parti Keadilan Rakyat division chief, S Manikavasagam has claimed that the ongoing PKR elections at the division was being marred by money politics with candidates bribing as much as RM50 to win votes.

He claimed that he has solid evidence pertaining to money politics involving his opponent, Abdul Khalid Ibrahim, who is Selangor Menteri Besar, which took place in Jeram and will reveal it to the public soon.

“I have evidence of video recordings (on money politics) and will upload it soon.  I received complaints that party voters are being bribed of RM30 to vote for candidates contesting for national posts and RM20 for Kuala Selangor division chief post.

“I hope the election committee will take action over this matter soon,” he told reporters when met at the polling centre at Bestari Jaya here, today.

Manikavasagam, who is Bukit Melawati state constituency coordinator, also urged PKR advisor Anwar Ibrahim to act immediately on the allegations of money politics adding that such incident would tarnish the party’s image in the long run.

He also said he would file an objection to the PKR Election Committee should he loses the Kuala Selangor PKR division chief post.

Manikavasagam is going for a straight fight against Abdul Khalid for the Kuala Selangor PKR division chief.
