(Fz.com)- Bukit Gelugor parliamentary by-election Independent candidate Mohamed Nabi Bux Mohd Nabi Abdul Sathar is confident of getting 70 per cent of the votes.

He claimed he was not only getting support from the Malay community but also from other races.

“The support and feedback I received were excellent, and at every place I campaigned, the reaction was really good. The Chinese are also behind me as they want something new.

“InsyaAllah, there is hope for me to win,” he told reporters when met at Pasar Malam Kampung Melayu, Air Itam here today.

Asked how he could afford to feel so confident about winning, Mohamed Nabi Bux, 63, referred to his manifesto and said he never made any pledges to the residents during his campaign.

“I do not make any pledge as others do. I only tell them that I will fight for them including setting up a service centre to help the people regardless of their race or political alignment,” he said.

The Bukit Gelugor by-election this Sunday would be a four-corner fight among Mohamed Nabi Bux, Ramkarpal Singh Deo (DAP), Datuk Huan Cheng Guan (Parti Cinta Malaysia) and Abu Backer Sidek Mohamad Zan (Independent).
