Khalid snubs Say No to Kidex
The Selangor Menteri Besar has ignored the group’s invitations for a meeting to discuss the controversial highway
The Say No to Kidex group has sent one memorandum and two invitation letters to Menteri Besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in their attempt to meet him over the controversial highway project.
A member of the group’s executive committee, Mah Khuin Weng, told a press conference today that the group wanted him to show documents pertaining to the project.
“Say No to Kidex group has sent to Khalid one memorandum and two invitations,” he said. “One was replied late while the others have not been replied.”
With Mah at the press conference were the group’s secretary, David Yoong, and it’s treasurer, Helen Chong.
They voiced their disappointment with Khalid, saying he had not followed due process in pushing forward the project.
“Khalid does not talk about due process but is just pushing the project forward,” Mah said.
“Khalid also talks about having consultation but without the proper necessary documents, the people cannot give feedback. You can’t expect the people to give feedback based on Powerpoint presentations.”
