Mah launches manifesto, plans to turn town into tourist hub
(NST) – Teluk Intan by-election candidate Datuk Mah Siew Keong has pledged to complete his mission to turn the coastal town into a bustling tourist hub if he manages to wrest the parliamentary seat from DAP this Saturday.
Speaking to reporters at the launch of his election manifesto today, Mah said he would strive to ensure that the famed Menara Condong, located at the heart of Teluk Intan, would be listed as a Unesco World Heritage Site.
“The states of Malacca and Penang have benefitted greatly after their cities were declared as heritage sites by Unesco. I will also make sure that our beautiful bay will be turned into a popular tourist attraction.
