Hadi Awang recuperating in Istanbul hospital

He was rushed to hospital due to breathing difficulties

(Free Malaysia Today) – PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang is recuperating after suffering from breathing difficulties in Istanbul, Turkey after he was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.

According to a news portal, Hadi’s son, Muhammad Khalil Abdul Hadi who is also the party’s deputy youth chief, Hadi is in a stable condition.

“He was hospitalised after complaining of breathing difficulties and is now stable and resting,” Khalil said.

Reports of Hadi being ill first surfaced when Hadi’s aide Ahmad Shamsuri informed an online news portal yesterday.

“Salam. Request prayers from PAS leadership. TGHH is having health problems, now in an ambulance to hospital in Istanbul,” Ahmad Shamsuri said in a text message in Malay.

The initials TGHH refers to Hadi.

In a related development, Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak who was notified of Hadi’s hospitalisation said that he has instructed the Malaysian Embassy to provide all the support that Hadi needs. Najib said this via micro-blogging site, Twitter.
