Umno Permatang Pauh office attacked with molotov cocktail
(NST) – Political rivalry turned ugly today with the Umno Permatang Pauh division under molotov cocktail attack.
Its division chairman Mohd Zaidi Mohd Said said the division’s secretary spotted burnt marks on the floor surface about 9am.
“The secretary saw the black subtances but opted to ignore initially.
“He sensed something amiss and went to take a second look at the black patches. He then spotted smashed glasses bearing the name of an alcoholic drink next to the patches,” Mohd Zaidi told the New Straits Times when contacted.
Mohd Zaidi said the burnt marks spotted on the ground were gasoline and he believed that the incident happened early morning.
A police report has been lodged by Umno Permatang Pauh division members in the evening.
Seberang Prai Tengah district deputy police chief Superintendent Baharom Abu confirmed that the report had been lodged at the Bandar Perda police station about 9.30pm.
