FMT was formed to provide readers with up-to-date news and critical political analysis, and has come to be regarded as a key source of unbiased and non-partisan information on Malaysian politics. Many pundits see us as the “Go To” news portal for confirmation of speculative stories.

We pride ourselves on our journalistic integrity and unbiased coverage of the Malaysian political scene. Our mission is to provide in-depth news coverage and serve as a platform to those wishing to state views that they cannot present through the mainstream media.

Lately, we have been accused of compromising our core values and mission. These are allegations that we take seriously.

Accordingly, we are executing a new plan in our editorial content and reorganising our team.

Our Chief Editor, Mr K Kabilan, has left the company to pursue other opportunities. FMT would like to thank him for his contribution over the last four years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

FMT has appointed Mr M Menon as the Chief Editor. He will be responsible for the restructure of the editorial team as well as the infusion of new talent.

Over the next three months, we intend to return FMT to its core values and mission. This mission will not be possible without the support of our readers and their constant feedback.

We are still subscription-free and independent of any political influence.
