Selangor to get free 4G Wi-Fi, says Khalid
(The Malaysian Insider) – The Selangor government will soon set up a 4G telecommunications system in the state that will provide residents access to free wireless Internet (Wi-Fi).
The technology will be based on the Optical Distribution Antenna System (Odas), said Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim in his summary of the State Budget Dialogue 2015 at the Shah Alam Convention Centre.
He said the state government was now tweaking the working paper and would present the plans to the Members of Parliament and state assemblymen soon.
“We will soon invite them and other parties involved to listen to the state government’s briefing of the plans.
“The working paper is complete but we need a little time to finish setting it up before the system can be implemented,” Khalid (pic) was quoted as saying by Selangorkini.
